CR Picnic '26 Recap!!!

CR PICNIC ’26!!! WAS A TREMENDOUS SUCCESS!!!

This is one of the most joyful events on our CR social calendar, and you all made it that way! It was a little like counting ants, but we would estimate somewhere between 120 and 130 folks showed up! So many highlights, and so many folks to thank, I just know I’m going to forget someone/something…please forgive me if I do!!!

  • ·       God! – for all of it, and more!!!


·       Stephanie – our Food/Events Ministry Coordinator Extraordinaire!
·       The Angel Tree Service Team!!! – for helping keep the food areas straight, the welcome table, the Scavenger Hunt, etc, etc, etc!
·       Mike and Matt - for manning the grill, and busting out great tasting hamburgers and hot dogs at a furious clip!
·       The great food and desserts that you all brought! Scrumptrulescent!
·       Dan – for pulling together the jam session! So much fun to hear live worship in the park like that! Guitars, a makeshift drum, beautiful voices, and even a clarinet!?!?!?!?!
·       Leonard’s daughter for bringing kayaks for us to enjoy on that beautiful lake!
·       Pastor Jamie and Pastor Chris for being there and sharing the love!
·       Everyone who invited friends and family!
·       Everyone who helped set up and tear down, or who jumped in and did what needed done in any way! Many hands make light work! 


Can't wait for next year!!!

  Read Exodus 23 Exodus 23 NIV - Laws of Justice and Mercy - “Do not - Bible Gateway   Exodus 23:1-2- “Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness. Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd."    What a powerful word from God's Word for us to aspire to live out faithfully. This is the idea of worshiping and doing all of life for the "audience of One," for when the Israelites gave into the popular winds of the crowd rather than listening carefully to God, they always, always, always got themselves in deep trouble.
